This Is Coercive Control: Learning Resources
Resources to help build understanding and awareness of narcissistic abuse aka controlling & coercive behaviour
Disclaimer: I am not a qualified clinician and my ex-partner was never diagnosed with pathological narcissism or narcissistic personality disorder. The material on this site serves only to describe my subjective experience.
This is one male victim's collection of researched material gathered over the long, solitary process of healing and recovery from life changing narcissistic abuse. My research was driven by the need to understand what happened and why and became a path to greater awareness and more resilient mental health.

I discovered that there is a strong correlation between the symptomatic behaviours of controlling and coercive behaviour (as described in the Crown Prosecution Service's guidance for the offence) and those ascribed to narcissistic abuse. It is not an offence to have a personality disorder, nor to have traits of pathological narcissism - the abusive behaviours that can result however, are in the UK, criminal offences.

Knowledge, education and awareness heals the wounds that nobody can see and helps to rebuild and strengthen personal boundaries to guard against future toxic relationships

Andrew Fleet - Narcissistic Abuse Survivor
Clinician's YouTube Videos on Narcissistic Abuse aka Controlling and Coercive Behaviour
In my search to learn about pathological narcissism and how it manifests as seemingly inexplicable and abusive behaviour I found many YouTube channels useful, interesting, and some quite revelatory.

There are a plethora of channels from "Life Coaches" many of whom are survivors of domestic abuse / narcissistic abuse. These are the ones I came across first and though educational I became all too aware that many have a commercial driver and very few are licensed and qualified clinicians.

I yearned for more objective, considered and professional information about narcissism and found three licensed clinicians whose content on narcissism and narcissistic abuse I can wholeheartedly recommend. They are Dr. Todd Grande Ph.D., Dr Ramani Durvasula Ph.D. and Dr Abdul H. Saad BSc (Hons), MPsych (Clin)
Dr. Todd Grande Ph.D.

Dr. Grande's YouTube Channel covers topics related to counselor education and supervision including but not limited to mental health, human behavior, relationship dynamics, psychopathology, personality theory, true crime, research, statistics, SPSS, Excel, appraisal, and group counseling.
